I've an iMac and a G5, share the internet connection with a switch (hub). I'd like to pick up a terrabyte drive and put everything for the next year onto it - and run Lightroom (both computers have LR), but share the catalog and files. I can't seem to find the correct combo of 'accounts', 'sharing', 'permissions' and such. Anyone any ideas? Both computers can see each other, but don't see any drives.
Do I need other software? We're secure - I don't need 'server' software, only two Macs on our intranet.
