I am new to colour managed printing, just bought the Epson 3800 2 weeks ago. I tried ilford gold fibre silk paper with profile downloaded from ilford web site. The printer setting advised by ilford is Epson vivid the print is too light, didn't match ps soft proof at all. I tried another print with 'no management' this time the print was too dark. The test prints were mono in RGB.
From my limited knowledge about printing with a profile, "vivid" doesn't seem like a correct setting. Any thing I missed?
Btw I used Eric Chan's ABW to print another one, the result was great.
