Hi,
I thought I better say hello and introduce myself.
I am Alex from Germany, I am new to this forum, but not totally new to photography
I am looking forward to see what people on this board create photography-wise, and always more than happy to receive honest critique.
Cheers,
Alex
I'm living in Akron Ohio for awhile, a place you'd probably feel almost at home in. I ate lunch today at Der Dutchman in Berlin Ohio, then came back to town in the afternoon for the 5th annual Akron Chriskindl market, hosted by a number of people from Chemnitz. Lots of fun, but the bratwurst was no comparison to what I could get on the street in Goppingen when I lived there. The hot chocolate was excellent though.
Attached is a small aluminum model of the building that was constructed here circa 1929, to manufacture the American Zeppelins. I lived here from 1948 to 1981, and during that entire time, never knew the history of that building and the people who were hired to build the airships, the largest air vehicles ever built in the USA. Most people are familiar with the Hindenburg crash, but the bigger story is really worth seeing, since similar research is going on today.
