Try running Neat image on it, using the banded section to build the rough profile.

Neil,

According to the folks at Neat Image, they are working on a Mac version. Of course, saying and doing are two different things.

Give me a break, I'm just an amateur.  The "Cokin" defective but graduated filter was just a guess....a shot in the dark.  Now I know it was a bad one.

Just an update- I sent these images to Canon, and they wanted a look at the camera.  They shipped it back and now it has a brand new kind of noise- I will post some of that soon.
