Does this program also allow you to burn the slide show to a DVD format?
SSP is just a web gallery, and you can burn the HTML etc onto a disc, but it's not a dedicated DVD authoring program like ProShow.

Hmmmmm...

Maybe it's me but SSP for Lightroom doesn't have any external navigation options... if it does please show me where as i think I've wasted 35 bucks...

So, for example if you want to just put up say your first edit from yesterday's shoot SSP is fine and wet floor snazzy, as all you do is sned a link to your client saying 'hey look at these fab pics here www.yoursite/yesterdayspics.

Client goes there and loves them.

BUT....  If you wanted say four different galleries on the back end of your websites front page, with a link at least back to 'home' SSP for Lightroom cannot do that, whereas the standard (free) templates in LR can...

If I'm wrong please someone holla...

There might be a way to use the "Logo" thing as a back link to your site. Other then that you may embed the SWF file into your own HTML file, no need to rely on the generated HTML file - that way you can have whatever links you want.

Agreed Cosim but that makes me a web html editor not a photographer but I suppose I'll have to learn it a little and get my head around it.

Or by the sounds of it I just buy director and use that, bit of a headache to start with but looks very cool..

Any thoughts..?

Hi!
-- Correction --
I have noticed that I'm a latekomer to this discussion. Sorry!
-----------------

Usable but not perfect. Very easy to use for publishing on the net.

What's missing:

- No real panning or zooming (something I use for showing vertical and panos)
- I don't think individual timings can be set for each picture
- Cannot syncronize with audio

I have just started testing it on my forthcoming web-site, here are some samples:

These presentations were made using Slideshow Pro:

Oxbow Bend
Yellowstone and Grand Teton
Iceland 2006

Note "full screen button" at bottom right.

Best regards
Erik

Is anyone using this plugin?

If so, how do you find it?

I am looking for a quick easy way to put my landscapes online and dont want to go to the expense of another Live-books site.

Live-books is just fine for my Kids Portrait business - but for my landscapes I need something easy, cheap, quick and preferably that I can do straight from Lightroom.

Appreciate any feedback on this plugin Slideshow Pro for Lightroom

You're welcome, and thank you!

Hi Daniel,
What web design application are you using to make this practice website?  I like the simplicity and expandability.

I am not a html savvy web maker - and trying to avoid having to learn it.  I am wondering if I am going to buy Slideshow Pro and find out it is going to be a pain for me to if I don't know and don't have the time to learn html in order to load it into the backend of a website.

Anyone else who was where I am - and would you recommend Slideshow Pro to me at this point, based on my limited experience?
If not, what would you recommend if I am doing most editing in Lightroom?

I would enjoy seeing some examples of websites using Slideshow Pro by you L-Landscape readers.

Many Thanks
