Windows laptop w/Firewire i/o?
« on: December 03, 2008, 10:47:32 pm »

I've taken the plunge and gone slightly digital. Bought a P45, which uses firewire for tethered shooting. Don't figure I'll do a *lot* of that out in the wild, but for learning and some other situations it'd be the bee's knees, if I had a Windows laptop with integral firewire i/o.  I need a new laptop anyway, so are any such available? and where?  If not, what's a good work-around?

Thanks,

You could look at this Belkin Expresscard hub that has two firewire ports in it. Works fine on my MacBook Pro, and comes with 'detailed' instructions for Windows installation.
