EPSON 2400 with OSX 10.5.5
« on: December 01, 2008, 12:12:17 pm »

I recently upgraded my MacBook Pro to 10.5.5.  When I try to print it shows as being connected to the Epson 2400 but will not print anything. I would appreciate any ideas on what to try to fix this.  Thanks in advance.

In 10.5.5, the printer app will show up in your dock when a print job is sent to queue. Open the dock icon for the printer and see if the job shows and whether anything is preventing it from printing like it's paused or stopped.

Leopard does require new drivers from Epson. Did you download those and install?

John,  thanks for the quick response.  I have downloaded the drivers from the Epson site (although they are dated December 2007).  The Lightroom rendered file appears in the printer manager but then disappears without any output to the printer.  Any ideas??

Those are the correct drivers.

Open System Preferences / Print & Fax / Printing tab. Click Epson R2400, remove it with the minus sign just below. Then click the plus sign and put it back in via the dialog box. Try that first. Like refreshing the chosen driver.

John, that worked perfectly.  Many thanks.
