Hi all,

I can create a slideshow in Lightroom (2.1) to show images on my computer, BUT is there any way to "export" the slideshow onto a CD/DVD to show it to other people?

Not sure about Lightroom, but if it can't I can recommend Pictures to Exe.

Yes.

Use the web module, instead. Instead of uploading it to a web site, you just burn it onto a CD. You should be able to get the CD to autorun by adding a plain text file called autorun.inf to the root of the CD

Inside the autorun.inf file, put this:

[autorun]
open=index.html

(Assuming "index.html" is what Lightroom gives you when you export the slideshow, which I am pretty sure it does.)

You can save a Lightroom slideshow as a .pdf and then burn it on to whatever disk you want.  You can also choose the resolution you want - 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024 or whatever size you want.  Clicking on the .pdf, Acrobat Reader will ask if you want to load the show full screen.  Say yes and enjoy the show.  NB:  .pdf slideshows change at a fixed rate only, no matter what you've set it to.
