I bought one on eBay but before it was shipped discovered it won't work on the 5D, so I unbought it.  

Bummer.    

Had a Contax Zeiss Distagon T* 28/2 that worked excellently on a 1Ds but sold all that wonderfull stuff a couple years ago.
