Odd film size scanner needed
« on: November 14, 2008, 08:06:17 pm »

I have some old B&W negs from circa 1900-1910 that I need to scan for our historical society.  The odd size is about 3 1/2" x 6", so I'm looking at different flat-bed scanners, such as the Microtek i800 which scans up to 8x12" film/transparencies.  Anyone have any other manufacturers and models that they like?  We have about 200 images to scan...

Many thanks.

I'm using an Epson Perfection V750 Pro, which is just a more expensive V700, but with a working version of Silverfast Ai. I really like it, but I suggest reading photo-i's reviews of both the V700 and V750, which includes comparisons with other flat bed scanners.
