Does anyone have any experience with the Mamiya Rotocam for use with a 645 AFd ? Is it vibration free? Or is an L bracket preferred?

I used the rotocam for a couple of years with my AFD.  It is pretty well built and makes switching the camera orientation simple, but there is a little bit of play in the mechanism.  If you ned a really solid platform, an L bracket is the way to go.
