Soft Proofing
« on: October 19, 2008, 08:50:52 pm »

First posting.

Thanks to the person that wrote the tutorial "Understanding Soft Proofing". It has helped me grapple with color management. (But I'm not done.)

Assume I have applied soft proofing to a file. If I then go to the "Print" dialog box, and select "Color Management", I get a choice under "Source Space" of "Document-Adobe RGB (1998)" and "Proof Setup SP2200..."

Which of the two should be selected?

Thank you,

Bob,

Use the document space, not soft proof. Soft prooof is just a visualization of approximately what the print will look like.

This link may help   Printin from CS and PS7

Thanks Rich. That site also had other interesting explanations.
