Good zooms for the H3DII?
« on: October 13, 2008, 02:57:12 pm »

I have shot with the 50-110 on a loaner H3DII and was impressed.  Though impressed I have sticker shock on the new H lenses.  I shoot mostly landscape and am interested in saving weight (thus zooms instead of primes).  Does any one have experience with some good alternative zooms in the 50-100 and 100-200 range for the H3DII?  I do not need autofocus and am fine with stop down metering.

For the Hasselblad H, there is only the 50-110 zoom
until their just-announced 35-90 ships.

The 35-90 is a great lens albeit with an eye watering price tag. The AF is very fast and it's about 250 grams lighter than the 50-110.

Isn't there a CF zoom lens that can be used together with the CF adapter?

Though personally I would take the 50,100 & 210 if I needed to have primes and take the 50-110 if I really need zoom. The new zoom looks really nice but oh boy... what a price. I had to look twice.

Dustbak good point! I had one of those years ago but sold it because of the vignetting, can't even remember the focal lengths now..
