The carton is rather large at about 2X3X4 feet.

That handtruck is definitely a lite-duty model.

Now to get a friend over to remove it from my wife's parking spot.

as long as you lift it at the wooden pallet and not the carton box you are fine and save. The carton box is just a cover (it has no bottem), at least mine didn't have so.

And when unpacking: lift the carton carefully, there is some stuff the could fall from it if you would lift the carton to abrupt/uncarefull.
