I am getting a blue cast in B&W images that shows up after a low ink indication, which as is well known appears long before the cartridge is actually empty. Cartridge replacement fixes the problem, but the resulting excess cartridge consumption effectively precludes me from making B&W prints.
It is possible that a nozzle check/cleaning might be the answer, but this is a moot point since the printer will not permit this operation as long as there is a low ink indication: it would still be necessary to replace the cartridge before its time has come.
Otherwise, I am pleased with print quality in both color and B&W.
