Hello,

I wanted to introduce myself to the luminous landscape forum.

I am a photographer and art director based in NYC, specializing in night panoramas, hence the theme of my work "Luminous New York" (unfortunately, somebody else already registered luminous landscape :-) )

Have a look and let me know what you think. Any C&C is welcome, either in regards to the work, or in regards to the website.

Nice work, Joergen. Very clean assembly and post. My only nit is that most all panoramics are best viewed large because their success lies in their details, which are lost on web images and even 2-page spreads. Your web site shows the images much better, but nothing close to a 96" wide print.

Thanks Chris,

I know that the web is only a shadow of the real thing. The real things (96-120in) are hanging in Chelsea and Brooklyn art galleries right now.

Thank you for your comment. They consist of usually 40 - 210 HDR tiles (120-630 RAW files) and end up with 300-1400 megapixel. I do scale them down for printing (300 dpi c-print on a oce lightjet)

I checked your websites and all can I say it's wow!.. What computer you use to handle all that amount of pixels ? Also if you don't mind how you get rid of the noise from long exposure.

Thanks for your comment... My current machine is a tricked-out iMac with a mountain of ext HDs, soon to be replaced with a mac pro. The NR is a side product of the HDR/exposure fusion process.

Which ones? I'd love to see them "live", so to speak. I'll be in NYC in from December 19th or thereabouts; will the exhibits still be open then?

I will be part of a group show in Newark, NJ, from Oct 24 to Jan 18 at [a href=\"http://www.rupertravens.net/]Rupert Ravens[/url] and will be showing "Pepsi" and "Two Bridges" (both 96x30in, 243x76cm) and "Trump Tower & UN" (120x60in, 304x152cm). all 3 are diasec mounted digital c-prints. I know it's NJ, but I am looking forward to see you there. The path train takes you to Newark, and then it's only a 10 min walk.
