Does anyone use the matte focus screen with the 85 1.2 lens ?

Are you talking about the super precision matte screen? Not on the 40d, but I use one on a 1D Mark II with the 85/1.2. It does a much better job of showing depth of field wide open, which for me is its greatest advantage. Yes, it's dark with a slower lens (even an f/2.8 lens), but I've gotten used to it.
