Discount Expectations for 9880
« on: September 26, 2008, 02:56:42 pm »

For those who have carefully watched Epson go through their product cycles in the past, I am curious to hear your expectations about how low prices will get for the soon to be "obsolete" 9880.  How cheap do these phased out models usually get before they are no longer available?  And How long does it usually take to see the printers disappear from warehouses?  Who is the best retailer to watch?  Will ebay see many 9880s as commercial printers upgrade to the 9900?  Just wondering

Epson people on the Photokina booth still say that the 9880 and 7880 will stay in the catalog next to the 9900 and 7900. Different customers in their opinion. There should be a reduction in price already to create more difference but no further reductions. That's what they told us ........
