airplane size was one of the most important things i asked for.
it fits perfect together with 4 lenses, two backs and accessory in a hand luggage bag.
i do this every months at least one or two times ....no problem so far.
wind sail? funny argument- sorry me. what about a nice tripoid? i use the big carbon
Gitzo. it doesnt sail ( i suppose also not with the XY ) and has really amazing few kilos.
( btw. i have the biggest and the tiny tiny tiniest carbon gitzo for my g9.
even i used several times the small one in good weather together with the artec. ,:- )
the alpa is not competing with the arTec i.m.o. as long alpa has not a sliding back camera.
this is the basic feature of the arTec, not an accessory.
if sinar thinks it would make sense for sure they could make a reduced artec body,
just with ground-glass and viewer,- but that was not the intent of this camera as it is now.
and why to make it? if you want it there are several cameras already available, therefor
you work with your alpa and you are content with it, as many others too. why you think
that sinar HAS to offer the same now once more again? and why the hell you would buy
it in this case, beeing so content with your alpa?
i wanted a good function able ( not custom-home made camera ) with a sliding adapter
for easy groundglas composing,- mainly because i think its essential for my way of shooting
architecture, which is not soooo unique as i believe, after 150 years of 4x5" ( or larger ) view
cameras.
btw: how did you`ve formerly shot interiors with 4x5" cameras?
