unable to view 5Dmk2 video review
« on: September 23, 2008, 10:19:28 am »

Hi,
I'm unable to view the latest review (video) on the canon 5d mk2. I've downloaded & install the latest quicktime, but it will not show in either IE or firefox, is there a problem with the link to the file or special codec required?

The video has been seen by more than 10,000 people in the past 12 hours, and though there have been some complaints about slow downloading, no other issues. I just tested it again and it appears fine.

Thanks Michael,
hopefully it's just a bandwidth issue with my ISP here in the UK, I'll try again later,

Further digging was required.... new install of quicktime 7.5.5 had by default unticked the option to play MP4 & other file types in my browser!
By starting quicktime manually & going into edit/preferences/browser.... tick play movies automatically & then push the MIME settings button you are able to associated the various file formats the quicktime will play through the browser.
