Ikonoskop A-cam dII
« on: September 19, 2008, 12:46:47 pm »

With all the buzz about the D90 and 5DMarkII video capabilities and RED upcoming cameras (Epic, Scarlet and the "misterious" DSMC) some curious and interesting things like this could pass unnoticed: the Ikonoskop A-cam dII.

http://www.ikonoskop.com/dii/

The specs are:

-Super 16 sensor (slightly wider than Scarlet's)
-1920x1080 CCD
-1-60 fps
-Shoots uncompressed DNG or TIFF
-File size: 3,5 Mb / frame
-Color depth: 12 bits
-Interchangeable lens mount (PL, Leica M, IMS and C-mount)
-2 channel 48Khz sound.
-Special features: 1:1 pixel zoom in viewfinder while recording for checking focus. Histogram. Preview monitor on right side for directors and sound people.
-Less than 1,5 kgs of weight, included memory cartridge and battery
-Price: 6.950 € with 1 battery, 1 Ikonoskop 9mm lens and 1 Ikonoskop 80 Gb memory cartridge

What do you think? (Yes, I know the camera is ugly).

Carlos.

Looks interesting, but does it fit the "combocam" category?

The concept behind the camera looks similar to the Scarlet's. But maybe you're right and this isn't exactly a combo camera althogh you can attacht to it photo lenses like the Leica Ms.
