Totally Off Topic - Note to Jeff Schewe
« on: September 17, 2008, 08:00:21 pm »

My apologies to posting a non photographic item to this forum but I wanted Jeff Schewe to see this item and I don't know how else to send this. At the end of the Camera Raw Tutorial Jeff and
Michael buy a bottle of Kathryn Kennedy wine - I just want to pass him the sad news that
she's ailing and it's likely that when she passes the winery will cease to be. Details can be read at:

Obligatory Photo Item - I'm just an enthusiast and still very much learning and I just want to say how helpful this site has been, the articles, the Luminous Landscape Journal, the tutorials and
especially the forum. Via a sort of osmosis I've learned a heck of a lot from this site.

Yep, I had heard that...sad for sure. But life will go on. Maybe somebody good will come along and pick up the vineyards and do something useful with them.

I actually briefly met her with Greg Gorman at the Wine Spectator's California Wine Experience a couple of years ago...

Can't really go wrong with a South African cab sav either . . .

Quite a number of the Aussie labels are currently using South African wines. The droughts in Australia have been bad, and producers have been importing South African wine to keep supplies going.

All good drinking at the end of the day . . .
