I believe its in there. folders with hearts on them that are maybe called 'favorites' now.  it tries to auto import to a new favorite/session folder every time you connect a CF card.

couldn't tell you if it works the same way or not, as I never 'got it' as a feature, (probably because I don't shoot in 'sessions') and just preferred to name my own folders and drag the raw files into that.

its annoying to have to stop a program from doing something they think is being helpful, circumnavigating it with another import route, when its not helping but hindering. Lightroom is not so different in that respect though either.

The current version of C1 4 does not use sessions like 3.7.9.  In future versions of C1 4 sessions will be re-introduced.  It's hard to say one version is better than the other.  Which version of C1 are you using?

The reasons behind 3.7.9 for mac were specific to mac. I don't believe there is any current development underway for 3.X (either windows or mac). All development right now is to get 4.X to a stable pro version.

That said, if there is a specific, repeatable, and significant bug you are experiencing in 3.7.8 for windows let me know and I'll make sure Phase is aware. Short of any such bugs I don't think there will be a 3.7.9 for windows.

It's the arbitrary rotation bug on 1DsMkII files.  I reported it long ago and was told it wouldn't make it into 3.7.8 but would be addressed in 3.7.9.

it seems like the new C1 4 is a little like Bridge
in that you don't have to make a session,
it just watches the RAW files from your harddrive ......

Is this a correct obersevation ?

That's correct.

Capture One 4 = folder navigation only
Capture One 4 Pro (unreleased) = session structures OR folder navigation

Been playing around with 4.1.2 lately.
Have a few questions..?
1st. Is there any kind of Full screen mode where you can just view the images Big?
2nd. Are they going to have any presets for B&W like the older software?

Also do you know if when I make a web contact sheet gallery if it stores it some where or do I have to save the Browser window myself before closing it..?

Like the Back up feature also when you import that it can be saved to external HD at the same time..:+]

Also just found 400 iso on my P30 not that bad.. nevetried it.. Ofcourse it was more landscape type stuff...:+}

You have to look in the process tab. Before even the C-1 dock icon showed it was processing?

Apple B and Apple T to show/hide the tools and browser. With both disabled you're at around 90+% of the screen for the viewed image. NOT full screen, but fast and functional.

Jumping to the processed folder [within C1]: Use the "Output Folder" shortcut at the top of the first tap under "application folders" (see attached screen grab)

Correct. Sucks doesn't it? If you want a work around you can launch Activity Monitor and select "View - Dock Icon - CPU History" which will leave you a dock icon that shows you when the CPU is at full throttle (an easy at-a-glance indication that C1 is still processing). Otherwise you have to check the process tab to see what's going on.

When you go to File > Make Web Contact Sheet there are four sets of options: TEXT, IMAGES, LAYOUT, OUTPUT. Under Output is the path where the web gallery is being stored. Having it open automatically in a browser after creation is an option.

Capture One 3 Pro also has a program called Color Editor which will let you modify an existing input ICC profile. For example you can modify the "Portrait" profile towards your preferred skin tone. Or you could take one of the existing B&W profiles and modify the underlying color response (e.g. to add more sensitivity to greens). This feature will be improved and included in Capture One 4 Pro.
