Hi Everybody,
My wife and I will be in Whistler, British Columbia during the week of October 20. Does anybody have any suggestions for scenic hikes (I'm not fond of heights, though...), landscape/nature photo "must shoots"?? What might we expect for weather? etc...
Thanks for whatever help anyone would care to offer...

The high alpine will be accessible that time of year. Take whatever gondolas are running and get into the high elevations before it's too late.
If you have a vehicle, drive to Lillooet. You'll travel some pretty amazing roads and widely-varying scenery. The transition from coastal rainforest to interior drylands is impressive. Lots to see along the route, including glaciers, The Coast Range, lakes, rivers. Locals call this the "Duffey Lake Road". Leave before first light. Return to Whistler after dark.
If you can get to Garibaldi Lake (hike) it's amazing. Glacier-bounded, turquoise waters, inaccessible other than by foot. Camping at the lake may be possible, but iffy that time of year.
The Pemberton Valley (a half hour north of Whistler by road) is very scenic. Fall colours should be good.
