DVI input issue
« on: September 10, 2008, 12:16:25 pm »

I want to improve image quality from my HP Pavilion a450n Pentium 4 PC, with Nvidia FX 5200 card to my Samsung 245BW 24" LCD monitor.  VGA works fine, but DVI output from my PC's DVI connector to DVI input connector of monitor is not recognised.  Message states "your computer does not support DVI output", even though the HP PC label on front states tv out and DVI support and has a DVI output connector.  Have tried reloading monitor drivers, rebooting, and another DVI cable without success.  Is there any way I can check the HP PC running Windows XP-SP-2, to see if DVI output is activated?  Any help will be appreciated
PS. Also swapped the monitor with a loaner.

Can that card even drive a 1900x1200 monitor?

Good question, I will find out.  Will also check to see if the card can be upgraded as it may be mounted on the cpu board,
Thanks
