Stylus Photo R2400 ink Matte Black and Paper

Hello

In instruction of printer is given a combination of ink and paper. At moment I have install Matte Black and the instruction show

01 Archival Matte Paper,  
02 Matte Paper-Heavy Weight,  
03 Double-Sided Matte Paper,,
04 UltaSmooth Fine Art  Normalpapier,  
06 Photo Quality Ink Jet Paper,  
07 Watercolor Paper-Radiant White,  
08 Velvet Fine Art Paper,,

I use a Mac Powerbook with 10.5.3
If I choose in Photoshop CS3 the print menu following 3 papers are not available, they are grey.

04 UltaSmooth Fine Art,  
07 Watercolor Paper-Radiant White,  
08 Velvet Fine Art Paper,  

I thought the reason can be that I have not mounted the paper slide in for manually input.

So I mounted this slide in. After that I saw the 3 labels on it

UltaSmooth Fine Art,
Velvet Fine Art Paper,  
Watercolor Paper-Radiant White,  

I have no UltaSmooth Fine Art at moment so I use a paper Smooth Art Silk 300 from my test box I carry out the instructions right I think and the paper moved in printer. I have a look in Print Menu, but the 3 papers always grey ? I use in Print Menu paper Archival Matte and press the button and some seconds later a message come like

"This is the wrong paper"

CLEVER printer ;-)

What's my mistake ?

Can someone help me ?

I thougt Smooth = Smooth

Hey

I found the solution some posts befor  BUT

I must choose it in print dialog before and I must use front slot although I use rear slot.

You need to go to Page Setup and choose Rear Feed (e.g., choose your sheet size and then Manual (Rear Feed)). Then those 3 media types (VFA, USFA, WPRW) will become available in the Mac driver.

Rear is not available only front, see screenshot.

If I use front the other 3 papers available.

I will test it.

I hope this works.
