Certainly is a great lens and got ignored when I posted about the 150mm here. Like it's to long and such. Not for me it's perfect and the sucker does sing a nice tune.

It's not that the 150 is a bad lens. I know nothing about the Mamiya version, but 150mm is quite long when your talking about cropped sensors.
Let's be realistic about medium format. The very low end is more expensive than the top end Canon, the middle ground of medium format is twice to three times expensive and the very top end is 6 to 7 times more expensive by the time you buy back, body lenses and accessories.
All this is fine if you can afford it, if it gives you a better image, if it works for your photography and your client.
The thing is at 2,3,4,5,6,7, times more in price there absolutely has to be more options on Glass.
Hasselblad has a fairly nice lens range, the HY6 and AFI with Rollei legacy glass has a lot of options and Phase/Mamiya are building their lens line, TBD.
In other words medium format can't just keep saying, the file is better and bigger but the useability is limited. Every make must have a lens line as complete as the older medium format film cameras. Pentax 6x7, RZ's, old mamiya 645's and blads, heck even Bronica had a more comprehensive line that what is currently offered as new designs.
I've said it before, but until your shooting in an interior location with models and try to pull back enough to go full length, you can't understand how way too long 150mm is and how way to round 80mm is. The 110 mm length , especially at F2, is just perfect and equates very closely to the Canon 85mm 1.2
Medium format needs to dust off some old designs, change the mounts and get those lenses in play.
This last round of announcements kind of surprised me. I thought all the medium format companies would be offering new lower priced deals but instead all the megapixels and prices went up.
Once again . . . fine, but give us more glass so we can do more.
(higher iso would be nice also).
