Move to MF and the ZD

Seriously, if Your main interest is doing nightshots the ZD is not the tool. Neither is Leaf. Both are limited to 30 sec (at least my combos Aptus17+AFD and ZD+AFDII) maximum exposure time.

I can witness that the Aptus 65 (which is same as Aptus 75 except a crop sensor) is absolute stellar clean black at 50 ISO 30 seconds exposures which works very very well for night shots. Aptus 17 is older than Aptus 22, which is older than Aptus 65/75.

I liked my ZD given what it was; a two-generation old 22MP back.  In that, it had noise issues over ISO 200, smallish and dimish LCD -- but readable in outdoor light, a buffer you could hit if firing rapidly for more than 8 or 10 shots and the occasional quirky DB error when shooting.  All that said, it produced outstanding files when used appropriately.  I had no color cast issues, no odd artifacting, no issues with long exposures and no issues heat or cold.  IMO it is probably the entry-level bargain to MF digital...

Cheers,
