Creating backup from existing catalog and files
« on: August 02, 2008, 09:19:07 pm »

I understand how to create a copy of your picture files when you import your pictures.  I have not been doing that to date, and would like to begin.  My question is what is the best way to duplicate the catalog and the picture files.  Do you simply copy them to the second location, then use the Backup option for future imports?

Select all your photos then use File>Export as catalog… function. Be sure to include all the files you want, check Export negative files . Include available previews is not needed as previews will be generated when needed.
