Kinda oversized to just hold two hard drives, no?

If you like the flat shape enclosure,
then the Glyph GT062 are very popular with audio & video professionals.

purchased this unit and so far am very happy; dead easy & quick to swap drives in and out, quiet, built in card reader, front FW400 & USB 2 ports.. (and as I've now found, the card reader is MUCH faster than the dedicated USB2 reader I was using up to now)

I have been looking at this too as an easy way to transfer data to bare drives.  Maybe use one bay for Time Machine and the other for loading data onto offsite drives.  The big question is noise? My MacPro is virtually silent and any fan noise from this would end it for me.  I like that it can sit on my desk under my monitor.  Card reader is a plus, but not necessary and I *wish* it had a FW800 port on the front too...
