Is there any plans for a Photokit sharpener plug in for Lightroom?

Its all I use Photoshop for and if I could use Photokit in Lightroom it would save another step in the work flow.

PKS capture sharpening is already built in LR 1.3 and now output sharpening is built in into LR 2.
Missing from Lightroom is creative sharpening, but you can use localized editing with clarity to get some creative sharpening. While LR doesn't offer the exact equivalent of PKS, it comes pretty close.

You can search this forum as a number of discussions revolved around PKS in Lightroom: [a href=\"http://luminous-landscape.com/forum/index.php?act=Search&CODE=show&searchid=9a900d6608ebbcb1c2210c86340527de&search_in=posts&result_type=topics&highlite=photokit]LR & PKS[/url].

I really like the way PKS works in Photoshop and was looking for something similar in Lightroom. The sharpening functions in LZ 1.4.1 (not played much with 2 yet) was OK but I still preferred doing my sharpening in Photoshop with PKS.

From what I've seen so far LZ 2 is a big improvement (still downloading Jeff and Michael's videos) but I need to watch the tutorials and spend some more time with it.

Mike,
I agree that the way PKS works is nice. I still use PKS capture sharpening when I need to remove heavy noise (doesn't happen to often).

Well you now have output sharpening, much improved over LR 1.

And you have basic creative sharpening through the use of the localized sharpening, plus you can try localized negative clarity if you want a bit of smoothing.

Its pretty much in there now! The capture and output sharpening is based on PK Sharpener, Bruce (and later Jeff) worked with Adobe on this functionality.
