« on: July 29, 2008, 05:19:46 am »

Dear early users,
Of course it was not supported in de Demo 2.0 version I work with, but does the official release support de new FX RAW (NEF) files from the Nikon D700?

Not officially according to this [a href=\"http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html]http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html[/url]

However pls. note the following:

'Note: Adobe is often able to provide preliminary support for raw files from new camera models not listed above. Camera Raw and Lightroom will open and edit these files but profiling and testing is not complete.'

Don't have a D700 so I can't test. There's always the bypass to hex-edit D700 to D3 in your NEF files.

EDIT: People on dpr report that LR2.0 and ACR4.5 include 'preliminary'  support for the D700 files.

Yup. One of those "people" is Tom Hogarty (Adobe) in a post on the LR Blog.
