You've got brakes. That's cheating.
Nice single anyway.

Cheers,

The first two images are stronger than the last two.  (Western left to right viewing.)  Still, nice.

That's a serious looking single speed! I really think the first stands out a little, the last three really fit well. I like it, it's a beautiful thing almost architectural.

Very nice. I like all four images together: the colors, the shapes, the composition, the change from total to detail, the variation in DOF. What else do you want from one bike? Well done.

Rbayle,

Nice job. Those could easily work as product/detail shots in an advertisement or brochure...appropriate use of one point focus, I like the light and the muted color,  Nice job.

As for the smart ass comment from that guy, Kaelaria, It'd be one thing if he was funny, but he's not...he's also nowhere near the photographer that he thinks he is.

...run of the mill low end comes to mind after looking at his work, horrible website too.

Those pictures you posted are leaps and bounds better than any of the images on Kaelaria's  website. I think he's grinding that axe of jealousy and bitterness. you're sense of lightness in your response is admirable..i am not so graceful, sorry.

As for the fixed gear bike..."fixies". Cool..i love the personalized paint jobs of the home built bikes...stopping is more difficult on a true fixie. I have brakes and a free wheel setup on mine because i've had a few close calls over my bike history..much prefer having brakes and a free wheel..love the simplicity of one gear. The purists look down but at least i can stop on a dime.

For me, the second one is strong perhaps the best although I like the fist one and the last one.
Colors and tones give a vintage look to your single-speed bicycle.

PS: Nice King headset!

thanks every one for your comments!

to answer all your comments:
first that bike is not a fixed gear (i love my knees way too much to ride these bikes, and i love having 100% control of my bikes), it's a single speed with a freewheel.
It's not that hard to go full speed, actually it's even pretty fast (the frame is a track bike frame), so as soon as you touch the pedal, the guy just wants to go faster...I love!

thanks all of you for your "smart" comments...

I like them. I like the way you use the depth of field. The lighting works too.

These are actually nice portraits of a bike. Please don't start shooting sunsets. These are better than 98% of the sunsets I've seen here.

You're right fixed gear bikes are knee-killers, especially true around here where 10%-18% grades are common.
