My ipf5000 died!

Hello,

My ipf5000, approximately 1.5 years old, has died. While doing a self-clean it displayed a 'purge motor sensor error' and the message 'power up again'(which does no good).

Anyone else had this particular failure? Any experience with canon service? Any good service providers in the Los Angeles/Orange County area?
