Nikon / Canon prices in Japan

Hi,

I need some advice about the pricing of camera equipment in Japan. My wife and I are thinking about travelling there possibly later this year or early next year and after my Canon 1d mk3 got dropped and damaged a few days I've now found the excuse I needed to upgrade either to a 1ds mk3 or a Nikon D3/D3x

What are the prices like in Japan for the following items in Japan?
1ds mk3
D3
D700
Nikon 14-24 f2.8
Nikon 24-70 f2.8
Nikon 70-200 f2.8 VR
Nikon SB-900

Is Japan any cheaper than the US for prices?

Personally if you go to all the major retail places in Japan, I doubt you'll find too many deals much better then the US (comparison to B&H only for me ').
On the other hand, if you do know where to shop, then you can get most items a little cheaper (for me it's substantial compared to Australia prices).

From my last check, the 1Ds III is still at 799990 yen or there abouts, so likely you can find it at some places for around the 760000 yen mark.

I can't be sure on the rest of the stuff in your list, except buy your gear from Fujiya in Nakano if you're in Tokyo area, they've been the cheapest for me when I'm over there. ^_~
