Buffalo Freeze

Taken early morning Mount Buffalo Australia a few days ago. Was -5 degrees Celsius and had been blizzarding all night - snow and wind stopped for about 15 minutes in an uncanny calm and I was able to capture this image.

I would really appreciate comments and constructive critisism.

The shot is actuall a color photograph - not B&W. There was just no color to speak of. I did remove some Blue saturation to make the snow a little more neutral. Otherwise its pretty much a straight shot. The trees are Australian snow gums trees.

Nice image. I've taken many snow images in my life and often times I feel I just get close to what the experience was, the cold, silence and stillness of the moment. So I keep taking them.

Yup - taken on a tripod with mirror lock-up. Exposure was 1/50 second at F11 over exposed by 2 stops.
