My camera and Lens fell from a short distance today and the focus ring on the lens no longer works. It can't electronically focus either (So no Auto, and no Manual).
I've had this happen before with a different lens. Sent it in for repair and about two weeks later had it back from Canon. I'd like to avoid having to send it in for repair, and was curious, how hard is that to fix?
I know it is something to do with the focus ring, but I have no way to tell if it is busted, or if it just slipped off of where it needed to be.
The lens in question is a Canon 50MM f/1.4.
