PC Laptop tethered
« on: June 21, 2008, 09:14:01 am »

Anyone uses a PC based laptop for tethered shooting with their DB can maybe help me out.

The transfer speed goes from 3 secs to 10 secs when i use my compaq on battery power. I have a seperate battery back which powers my firewire hub so that doesn't take the power from the laptop.

Is there a setting in windows which i can change to enable full performance on battery?

Also, does this happen on a mac book/pro?

Which operating system are you using? Is there a battery icon on the task bar which you can double click and select High Performance instead of Battery Saver?

(if not, look in the Control Panel for power options...)

thnx ron,

tried all that but didn't find higher performance/battery saver options. Double clicking the battery icon takes me to same power options in control panel and only setting i can change are the sleepmode timings etc.

any other ideas?
