You know there actually better than i thought they would be. But honestly i think it has much more to do with MF than the lens when you get into the MF world. You certainly don't have to push the lens like you do in 35mm. The files are amazingly good and even with the cheap glass. i do want the 150mm 2.8 D but that darn 150 4.5 or whatever it is actually does a nice job. The 80 and 55 i think are extremely nice and i picked up the 300 4.5 that is a razor blade even wide open. The 35mm can use a little update and i would like to get the 28mm but after some testing the corners are more like a 30mm lens there soft. But I am also buying a future too. We do have to look down that path after the money going in. I thought about the 45mm but I heard some negative comments here. i also bought the Horseman SWD.

Guy, you need to be careful drinking the Kool aid.

It's expensive stuff.

Roughly 20% less by buying the body and lens together. I have seen lower prices  (gray market) but for this I am dealing with an excellent full service dealer.

The quote I have is in $CDN but as the currencies are pretty much at par this isn't relevant.

Aint nothin' wrong with the 45mm.  Not as good as the 55, but the 55 is really really good.

Well after buying leica for a long time this stuff pales in price comparison. It's not cheap i will admit and at there prices a little high for most folks to dive into. But a 45-90 at 4.5 i would have no interest in to begin with and at that price not going there. I will spring for the 150 2.8 though. The one i want is the 28mm but the corners bug me. It really is a 30 or 31mm by the time you crop the corners off. That one will take some thought and robbing the bank. Like to see what Photokinia brings before buying the 28mm.

Guy, I think you probably paid as much for *all* your Mammy primes as for ONE minor Leica prime

Guy is ready to buy lotto tickets, to sleep in his car (actually he has sold it as well in the meantime), denounce fellow photographers to their respective wife, and much more, all this to satisfy his appetite for gear!

Just another view on prices like these.

After testing 2 different 28mm on a P45+, and hearing from other shooters, the lens on this back does have considerable corner softness.   It's apparent to me that Mamiya is not testing these new Digital lenses on a 33mp or higher back.  Or they are testing them and just willing to put a lens with less than the best optical quality on the market for 5K.  5K to me is a huge investment for one lens, which by the way has no ability to work with any filters. Filters for me, especially a polarizer are critical.  I don't count a gel holder a usable filter.

They are charging a huge amount for these lenses and as of yet not able to deliver the quality they claim.    They also have nothing larger than a ZD back at their Service center and both 28mm's I had showed corner softness on the ZD also.

My view is if you are going to charge these prices, there really shouldn't be much error.
