Lens correction software?
« on: May 27, 2008, 05:42:12 am »

Hi,

I use capture 1 to process my raw files and all these images are then completed as tiff files in photoshop, working on a mac.
I am interested in using some lens correction software to correct distortion (in wide angle zooms (17-40 and or 16-35) and possibly 24mm shift lens also) and CA in my Canon lenses and 1ds.

Ideally the software would be a photoshop plug in but a stand alone app is ok to.

What are the options available to me?
Does dx pro allow me to just correct distortion and CA in tiff files or only if you process the raw files in it also? I assume I need the pro version to work with the 1ds?
Does pt lens work on tiff files or just jpeg, etc etc.
Any other options?

Thanks for any help,

Marc

The plug-in version of PT lens supports tiff and raw. Works well.

I may be wrong but I thought that PT Lens was Windows only. However, on their site they refer to a MAC software by Kekus Lens Fix CI. It is stand-alone, or at least the version I have is stand-alone. I don't check for updates or revisions very often so things may have changed.
