Canon DPP is not sharp
« on: May 26, 2008, 09:20:38 am »

After upgrade to the latest version of 3.4.1 with my Mac OS 10.4.11, the RAW file being convert by DPP found the image is muddy and not sharp. After return to my Bibble confirm it is the DPP problem. The image from Bibble is pin sharp and the color is good.

My camera is Canon 40D.

Anyone have the same problem as mine or my upgrade haven't do it right it caused the unsharp image.

Thanks
Paul

The crop photo on right was from Bibble, left one was from Canon DPP.

Try turning sharpening to 0 and then do your sharpening in PS after. Saw the same thing and was told to try this. Works that way.

But I still prefer Raw Developer.

I cannot comment on sharpness as the crops are missing, but I much prefer the colour of the Canon File, the Bibble shot looks like the White balance is off as is too warm. IMO.
