I got the three paper profiles I ordered yesterday from Cathy's pofiles. Glossy, Matte, and Ilford Gold Silk Fibre. She sends three different choices for each paper, Classic for more shadow detail, and two others, each for a wider colour gamut.
I printed the same image twice from Lightroom, one on glossy and one on Gold Silk Fibre. I used the Classic choice for both papers because the shot had a dark background. Lo and behold I got perfect prints. I feel like having a party now with all the hassle I've had.
Also, Thanks also to the boys, Mike and Jeff for their amazing tutorial on printing. I've gone over it twice and this has helped immensely.
