iPhone colour calibration

Hugo Rodríguez, a colour management expert, has calibrated or we'd rather say calculated a colour profile to improve the accuracy of colours displayed in the iPhone screen.

There is a profile available for download (look for the 'descargar el perfil' reference) so that the user can convert the images into that profile before uploading them into the iPhone, in order to properly display their colours when visualized in the Apple machine.

Unfortunately the article is in Spanish but with some easy to follow images and references: iPhone colour calibration

It would be nice to download this profile to an iPhone and see if mobile Safari is color managed?

Ha ha! just a few days ago - i was thinking of asking about this very topic! Thanks! I recently used my iPod Touch to show my porfolio at an Art opening and it was quite interesting....attracted more attention than prints....(possibly because of the different medium used to present images).

Well, just a quick test showed that mobile Safari is not color managed.

Edit: this is with the 1.1.4 firmware.

Haha! Cool idea! I just bought an iPhone a month ago and have already showed people quite a few pics on it (very nice way to show people a preview of your work).

Spanish is ok for me

Going to try it out, thanx for the tip!

Thanks for the translation and the site. Looks really great. All I gotta do now is find a cheap Iphone because I was still hesitating to get one due to the price.
