PSCS3 photo web gallery
« on: April 24, 2008, 12:22:39 pm »

Hi all

I'm trying to do webgalleries via PSCS3 - Automate and I'm having a colour problem:

Rawfiles are set in CR to sRGB and look the way I would like to have them appear on the web.
Unfortunately once gone trough the "Webautomatisation" they are oversaturated and very red.

If I go via Save for Web and have the icc profile box clicked it looks good - unclicked it's the same as above. Is there a way to make the automate command do this as well?

Another mistery is that the redish and saturated version looks good on my MacBookPro screen, whereas on my NEC2690Spectraview it doesn't.....

Any ideas?
Thanks!

Let me guess---you're on Windows, aren't you?

When I got a Mac they forgot to give me the condescension and smugness pills.
When I take it back to be fixed I'll ask them for them.

No I'm not: I'm on a brand new Quad-Core 2.8GHZ with 8GiRam...

The workaround I found goes like this:

- via Bridge - Tools - ImageProcessor I get sRGBs in the size I need for the web

- I then create a webgallery via PS (no resizing of the Large Images!)

- next step is to create thumbs via the ImageProcessor off the sRGB from the first step

- finally I replace the thumbs in the webgallery folder with the ones just created

Works fine but takes much more time...

P.S.: the images created with the automate - web gallery tool do not have a colour porfile. Maybe that's why the don't display right in the browser...
