I use an an Aptus 22 with a Mamiya AFD body. I'm interested in buying the 75-150mm AF lens (which is supposed to be super sharp), but I'm concerned with its compatibility with the AFD body/digital back combo.

The B&H website has info that says the lens works fine with the AFDII and AFDIII. But with the AFD it only works with a film back and no mention of working with AFD body/digital back.

Curious if anyone using it has an idea.

And also what happened to the mamiya.com forum or was it on the Mac group USA site? I can't find those forums that had a lot of user info on shooting Mamiya gear.

YES, the AF 75-150mm f/4.5 D is congruent with the Mamiya 645AFD/Aptus 22 combo

I cut n paste this from the Mamiya website:

Sekor Zoom AF 75-150mm f/4.5 D Specifications
Compatible Cameras    645AF/645AFD II
645AF (requires upgrade to 645AFD)

For more info check out the specifications table at this link [a href=\"http://www.mamiya.com/645afd-ii-lenses-sekor-af-75-150mm-f4.5-d.html]http://www.mamiya.com/645afd-ii-lenses-sek...0mm-f4.5-d.html[/url]

This is the reply I just got from MAC on this issue just this morning:

Ken,

Yes the 75-150 can be used with the AFD Series.

This is the same Question/issue that I've asked before but never got a definitive answer regarding the AFD body, 75-150, and a MFDB.

I'm not sure why B&H Photo and other retailers have a somewhat confusing statement about the 75-150 being able to be used with the 645AFD and a film back only.

Perhaps less exif information is conveyed to the digital back?  I really don't care, as long as I can use the 75-150 on the AFD with a P30 back.
