The 90mm macro is more than enough. It is an excellent lens!

and how much working distance is necessary.

Other options are:
• the manual focus Zeiss 120mm f4 Macro
and
• the Schneider 150mm f4.6 Apo Makro Symmar (requires 67mm extension tube or auto bellows)
