Is there some way to have the latest post on a topic display first.
I have tried for the past two days to find some way that I can change my options. Thanks.

Nope. You can sort the order in which topics are displayed newest first, but within a topic you are limited to chronological order. Allowing other sort orders gets very confusing when many new posts are added to a topic since you last read it. The little orange square indicating new posts can be clicked to go to the first unread post.
