Any opinions on the best polarizer filter for a Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM lens on a Canon 5D and 40D camera.

Hi Bill,

I have a Sigma 82mm Polarizer for that lens and am happy with it..

B+W and Heliopan do offer slim 82mm filters. Singh-Ray 82mm slim filter for is not yet available

Using a Hoya Ultra Pro Slim on my 16-35mm. Very happy with it.

All my Hoya slim polarizers fell apart - without exception..
