Using LR web pages on .Mac
« on: April 13, 2008, 09:03:16 pm »

Has anyone figured out a way to use the web pages created in LR 1.4 on their .Mac site? I have been playing with it but gave up in frustration.

I created my first photography showcase web site using iWeb which is part of the Apple iLife 08 suite. I took me about 4 hours to get it done to my satisfaction. Once I got the hang of it, I thought that it was pretty easy given that fact that this is the first time that I used iWeb.

Here is the link to my site: http://web.mac.com/budjames.

In addition to an answer to my question, your comments about my web site are greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Yes, I believe I got this tip from another LL poster awhile back:

1. Export your web gallery out of LR onto a local hard disk.
2. Mount your iDisk.
3. Copy the entire LR exported folder into the Sites folder of your iDisk.
4. The URL for your site uses the following form:
(without the quotes, of course)
where userID = your .Mac user name, and
LRfolder = the name of the folder you exported from LightRoom.

Hope that helps.
