Not really a question here - just a note to say Goodbye LR - Welcome Aperture!

Perfect! Thanks Schewn for just confirming my thoughts about what some idiots may say
on the forums.

Quite the witty response.  You're what we call a troll.  If you went to an Aperture forum and said the converse you might get a similar response.

If you're excited, why not go to the Aperture forum here and note the converse, and ask for welcomes?  Jeff may leave you alone over there.

But you're calling his baby ugly and asking him to remain silent.  That's not really in Jeff's character, and I can't say as I blame him.

If you want to say something constructive, perhaps note what the specific things are that convinced you to shift from LR to Aperture?

Just curious. How old are you? I would have to say that with the maturity of that post, you got the response you deserved.

Tried that at the news of lack of soft proofing in LR.  Quickly went back due to Apertures extra resource usage, tendency to hanging, unreadable interface, and lack of CA correction.  I'll just have to live with soft proofing through PS.

Funnily enough a Mac-obsessed videographer/photographer friend announced the other day that he was thinking about dumping Aperture and switching to Lightroom.  He's had problems with Final Cut Pro on the latest OS-X, he sold his iPhone about a week after buying it and he's finding Aperture's file system too weird for his purposes.

I agree the responses to your post are less than perfect.  The best response to such a childish original post is NO response.  Did you think people would beg you not to change because you are so important?  What response did you really expect?

It is very childish to call Mr Schewe an idiot and to intentionally misspell his name.  BTW Steve, the "idiots" you call out are pretty smart people who have help me many times.  I have yet to read one intelligent post from you.

Best you leave this forum for the DP forum, where you will find intellects similar to your own.

This whole thread reminds me of the joke about the guy who couldn't come to bed when his wife called him, "Because somebody's wrong on the Internet!"
